Carlin Nalley

Carlin has been an educator for over 37 years, 33 in athletic administration: head football coach, head track and basketball coach, junior high athletic director, high school athletic director and finally, Superintendent of Lisle Community District Schools, a position he held for four years prior to his retirement. Carlin retains a seat on CAPS' Board of Directors, serves as National Marketing Director, and is an active member of the National Faculty. In 2008, Carlin received an Illinois Athletic Directors Assn. Distinguished Service Award and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Among past honors, Carlin has been named National High School Athletic Coaches Assn. National Athletic Director of the Year and has been inducted into the Illinois Football Coaches Hall of Fame and the Illinois Track Coaches Hall of Fame. In 1996 he was inducted into the NASPE/NCSSAD Hall of Fame.

The Carlin Nalley Foundation was formed to award scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate excellence during their years at Lisle High School. To date the foundation has awarded $50,000 in five years with expansion plans to include more scholarships and honor additional faculty.

Another important goal of the foundation is to work with motivated alums to form a permanent Lisle High School Alumni Association. Currently the foundation has updated contact information on approximately 1,500 alumni.
